2nd place in the Legend Cars World Finals

The “Legend Cars World Finals” took place from October 19 to 21 in Las Vegas, United States of America, where 2 Latvians – Valters Zviedris and Garijs Rozkalns – were participating at. They showed great results in Semi-Pro class — Valters got 2nd place, but Garijs – 4th place.

Saturday, October 20 was the day of qualifications in Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Valters managed to win and guaranteed the 1st start position in the Final race.

The Final race took place on Sunday. Unfortunately Valters made a false start, so he was given a penalty and had to restart from the 2nd position. Restart didn’t go as well as planned – Valters fell down to the 5th position. But he managed to overtake several competitors, and in the final lap overtook Carter Weedon, who was in the 2nd position. So in the end Valters celebrated 2nd place, just 2,6 seconds from the winner.

“The race was really exciting, with a lot of overtakings. It was interesting to compete with American drivers. Thanks to the best Team “860 Motorsports”, which made my car ready for this race. Team was very supportive. I could not have been able to achieve this without their help”, says Valters.

Valters also participated in Pro class Final race, where he started from the very bottom. Valters managed to finish in 7th position between 20 competitors, losing 21 seconds to the winner Rasmus Ericson. The Semi-Pro winner Connor Mosack finished right after Valters in this race.

Both Latvian drivers together with Swedish sportsmen celebrated victory, where World drivers were competing against USA drivers (World vs America).
